Paris Hilton: released on Tuesday, on Larry King on Wednesday
Paris Hilton will be released from jail on Tuesday and is set to make her first post-jail appearance on Larry King Live on Wednesday night.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Paris will leave the Century Regional Detention Facility on 26th June after serving 23 days of her sentence but have not announced at what time of the day or night the release will take place. As with her late night check-in, it’s expected that the authorities will attempt to minimise the fuss around her release to avoid potentially dangerous developing with the waiting media and paparazzi.
After a day at home, Paris will then be the sole interviewee on Wednesday night’s Larry King Live on CNN. Despite rumours of a $1million offer from NBC’s Today show, Bridget Leininger, a spokesperson for the news channel, has said Paris will not be paid for the interview: “Larry doesn’t tell us production details, but what I can tell you is that Larry does not pay for interviews and there are no ground rules.”
Regarding the Larry King agreement, Paris released a statement saying: “I am thrilled that Larry King has asked me to appear on his program to discuss my experience in jail, what I have learned, how I have grown and anything else he wants to talk about. Larry King is not only a world-renown journalist, but a true American Icon. It will be an honor to do his show.”
