Glastonbury 2007: celebrity snippets
- Lily Allen’s performance on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday was apparently quite a big thing for both her and her dad Keith Allen. After running onto the stage in a bright pink dress, Lily told the crowd: “It’s such a special thing to be able to perform here on this stage - I’m s***ting myself, so let’s get hammered!” Meanwhile her dad Keith was spotted crying at the side of the stage during Lily’s set, not stopping until she finished and gave him a hug.
- Amy Winehouse and new husband Blake Fielder-Civil elected to skip camping in the mud in favour of staying in a luxury teepee off-site. The couple are said to have paid £3000 for their stay at Camp Kerala for the weekend. The camp holds 50 luxury tents which include each antique furniture and mirrors as well as a 13ft-square bed and a private shower.
- Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman opted for luxury rather than a mud bath/bed too. A source told the People newspaper that she hired a mobile home for the weekend instead of bedding down under canvas: “She couldn’t face camping, particularly with all the mud, and decided it was worth the cash.”
