Paris Hilton has pledged to help set up a “transitional home” for women released from jail.

In a second telephone interview with E! News’s Ryan Seacrest, Paris explained that the home is one of her idea to use her fame in a good way and helped improve the world by lowering the recidivism.

She explained: “These women just keep coming back [to jail] because they have no place to go. [It’s] a really bad cycle and if we stop it now, we can make our community a better place.”

“[The home will be] a place to get food and clothes on their backs.”

She added that the home is just one of her plans for changing her life around - she will also be overhauling her entourage: “I appreciate everything now and I think there was a lot of bad people that I was around and I don’t want to surround myself with those types of people anymore.”

Paris is set to be released from jail on Tuesday and her mum Kathy visited her at the Century Regional Detention Facility on Saturday.

Speaking to People magazine after the hour-long visit, Kathy said that her eldest daughter is “very, very excited” about leaving jail and seeing her whole family again.

She also joked that Paris’ is looking forward to a wardrobe change after three weeks in prison jumpsuits: “She’s sick of orange [but her] health is good. She looks … like Paris [again].”
