Pete Doherty reportedly dumped Kate Moss - and not vice versa - because she was obsessed with tracking his every move to ensure he sticks to her list of conditions for their relationship.

The Daily Mail claims Pete told the supermodel “I need my space” and “it’s like living with a f**king stalker” last week after a series of arguments at the home they shared in North London. Pete has now moved out of the house and is staying with a friend in a flat in Hackney.

A close source told the newspaper: “Kate has been crying non-stop for days. She flew out to Paris [last week] in the hope that Pete would come running after her but instead he went on a massive bender. She’s trying eveything to get him hooked back on her but he’s had enough of her keeping him on such a short leash.”

“Kate’s now back in London and has been calling Pete constantly, screaming and crying down the phone. She’s angry and upset but completely obsessed and wants him back. He can’t handle her and feels suffocated, so has suggested they take a break.”

Pete appeared in court yesterday on drugs possession charges following an arrest in May. When asked to give his address to the court, he started to give the address of Kate’s home but then caught himself, saying: “Actually, that’s changed.”

Pete admitted he was guilty of the charges but insists he is planning to attend a five-day detox programme in the very near future. District Judge Davinder Lachhar adjourned the sentencing until 7th August, saying that Pete “will be going into custody” unless he completes the rehab programme.

On leaving the court, Pete told reporters: “I was going to rehab anyway. This was a push.”
