Michael Lohan blames Lindsay Lohan’s problems on his ex-wife

Lindsay Lohan’s estranged father Michael Lohan has claimed that Lindsay’s mum Dina Lohan is to blame for the young star’s recent problems - because Dina has similar problems herself.

Lindsay is currently in the “extended care” section of a six week stay in rehab, rumoured to be addressing alcohol and drug dependences while her mum and dad are in court discussing their divorce and custody arrangements for Lindsay’s younger siblings, Ali and Dakota.

Michael told a New York State court this week: “I do not believe Dina should be drinking in front of our daughter. If she continues to do this, I guarantee Lindsay will fall apart again.”

“Back when Dina and I met in the Eighties, everyone was partying and using cocaine. I am now clean and sober. I submit to drug and alcohol testing three times a week, because I am on parole and because I now work as a drug counsellor with teenagers.”

“I am willing to be tested by the court all day, every day of the week. I know I will come up clean. But when my lawyers sat with Dina’s lawyers, and said I was willing to be tested, she said she was reluctant to be tested.”
