Myleene Klass: pregnancy is great - but the first 3 months were hell
Myleene Klass has said she’s loving being pregnant and has no plans to slim down again as soon as her baby is born in September.
She told the Daily Mail recently: “Pregnancy is the best journey I have been on. I feel really empowered and liberated and excited and it’s made me feel really proud to be a woman. I feel like I’m part of a huge underground movement that I knew was there but only really noticed when I became pregnant.”
“Having said that, the first three months were hell. I couldn’t tell anybody I was pregnant, but I was having hot flushes and being violently sick all the time.”
“When I was first pregnant, nobody could tell me how emotional I was going to feel and how your hormones really kick in and play a part. The first three months are really quite isolating because you can’t tell anybody.”
“By the second month, [fiance] Gray was asking me where my broomstick was because I was being such a witch. Those first three months were the hardest months of the six years we have been together.”
“I was driving him insane. I would be ringing him and saying: ‘I haven’t heard from you all day. You don’t care about me or the baby.’ Meanwhile, he’d been building a nursery and doing all the shopping.”
She added: “I’ve had people saying to me: ‘You’re very big for a pregnant woman [but] pregnant women are not designed to get their figures back in two weeks. That’s part of being a real woman.”
“I couldn’t care less if I was a size 20 because I am growing a baby. It’s not about me fitting into a dress, it’s about how healthy my baby is.”
