Apparently some people called the .. um, let me get this right .. “Beckhams” have moved to Los Angeles or somewhere this week. The guy Beckham, David I think he’s called, has got a new job playing tennis or ice hockey and his introverted, blend-into-the-background wife Victoria fought her usual urge to hide from the cameras at his formal introduction on Friday. Afterwards Victoria went shopping for replicas of David’s new workshirt for their sons but must have taken a wrong turning somewhere and ended up stumbling into on the set of Jay Leno - but bless, Jay was a trooper and interviewed her as if she was someone famous instead of just a lost tourist. Then on Saturday, mum and dad took their three boys shopping at Toys R Us, presumably to buy the boys a new dictionary so they can make the change from spelling it “colour” to “color”.
Britney Spears was also spotted shopping on Friday - after considering a tennis racket purchase, she ended up buying a Yorkshire terrier puppy - which she took out with her to her cousin Alli’s birthday party on Friday evening.
Yorkies must be the new chihuahua - Paris Hilton was seen clutching one on Thursday too.
Another dog lover, Jessica Biel, left her pooches at home on Thursday night for the premiere of her new film with Adam Sandler I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

And speaking of formal events, Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster posed for snaps at Buckingham Palace on Friday after Rod was awarded his CBE.
Meanwhile Christina Ricci unveiled her new, not exactly wonderful (but how shiny?) haircut at a Hugo Boss fashion show in Berlin this week. The ‘do is for her role in the forthcoming Speed Racer film.
Anne Hathaway arrived back in LA on Friday after a long break in Europe - and it looks like she’s picked up some of that (perhaps mythical but) much lauded European fashion style. Tres chic.
Drew Barrymore on the other hand seems to have looked back in the history books for her footwear inspiration - she was snapped in a pair of gladiator-ish sandals on the way to the gym in Beverly Hills on Thursday.
Also padding about town - but the town in this case is St Tropez, Naomi Campbell was spotted indulging in a bit of shopping with a friend while on the French Riveria.
Back in LA, Hilary Duff has simultaneously dampened her Brody Jenner dating rumours and added fuel to the ones linking her to Brody’s friend, Frankie Delgado. Hilary and Frankie were snapped holding hands on Thursday night.
And since there haven’t been any bikini snaps today - how about a little bit of a semi-naked Pete Wentz? Just Jared has snaps of the Fall Out Boy undressing after a concert in Anaheim earlier this month - and some shots of him (fully clothed) shopping with girlfriend Ashlee Simpson in LA on Thursday.
