Nicola RobertsDespite a couple of very public arguments, Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts is reportedly planning to annouce her engagement to boyfriend Carl Davis over the next couple of weeks.

The couple only began dating at the start of the year but are said to be smitten with each other - and were reportedly spotted shopping for diamond rings this week.

An onlooker told the People newspaper that the couple spent Wednesday afternoon at exclusive jewellery stores in Sloane Street, London: “They looked every inch a young couple in love as they browsed.”

Another source added that the couple are planning a photo shoot for a magazine in the next few weeks and may use that opportunity to announce their wedding plans: “It’s fair to say that an announcement could definitely be imminent.”
