Kerry Katona and baby daughter were locked in a room by an armed gang during a burglary at her home on Sunday night.

According to reports, three masked men used sledgehammers and crowbars to break into the home Kerry shares with her husband Mark Croft in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Kerry was locked in the downstairs room with five month old Heidi while Mark was lead around the house at knife-point to show the locations of valuables. He was then locked in the room with Kerry and their daughter while the gang made their escape.

Police have said the gang stole around £150,000 worth of possessions, including jewellery, laptops, a 42″ plasma screen television and a BMW M5 sports car. The couple’s Porsche and Aston Martin cars have been taken by police for forensic examination in case the gang left any clues while trying to steal those cars.

Kerry’s spokesperson has said this afternoon that Kerry is in a “terrible state”: “When I spoke to her this morning she was in floods of tears and absolutely distraught.

“It was a terrifying experience. Luckily they weren’t hurt, but Kerry was held at knife-point and the robbers threatened to kill them.”

“It was such a horrible thing to happen. They are staying with family now and I’m not sure when they will go back to the house.”

Kerry’s older daughters Molly and Lilly-Sue were not in the house at the time of the incident.
