Victoria Beckham disses “dressed down” style of Hollywood stars
Victoria Beckham has criticised her new Hollywood contemporaries for “dressing down” while they go about their every day lives.
Despite her previously acknowledged “Californian” haircut, she told the LA Times recently that she has no plans to change her look any further to fit in: “I don’t want to change the way I dress. This is me, and if people like it - great.”
“I get quite bored with the way people look the same all the time, with the same make-up and the same outfit, and the same kind of hair. I like to change things around quite a bit.”
“[Female stars] dress down quite a lot here, don’t they? It seems to be in keeping to go to Starbucks in tracksuit bottoms and Ugg boots.”
“I have one pair [of tracksuit bottoms] for non-photographic opportunities only. Underground car parks are fine, but aside from that, no.”
But women of Hollywood, do not despair! Victoria is planning a new US-edition of her fashion guide That Extra Half Inch and her own line of jeans and sunglasses will hit boutiques around the city shortly: “This is just the beginning [of my fashion career]. I want to still be doing this in 20, 30, 40 years’ time.”
“I was never going to be the best singer, dancer or actress. I worked hard at it and I did a pretty good job. But with fashion, I’m good at it.”
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
