Winona Ryder has revealed she didn’t marry long-term boyfriend Johnny Depp because her parents thought she was too young.

The couple met on the set of Edward Scissorhands in 1990 and dated for three years, during which time Johnny got his infamous “Winona Forever” tattoo.

In a joint interview in Vogue magazine, her dad Michael Horowitz explained: “They were the hottest couple in the US at that time, like [Brad Pitt] and A[Angelina Jolie]. You guys were cool.”

Winona chipped in: “You stopped a wedding.”

To which Michael replied: “We loved Johnny but you were 19.”

Since splitting from Johnny, Winona has dated a number of men but not yet found the “love of her life”. Johnny meanwhile has settled down with Vanessa Paradis and the couple have two children together.
