Sugababes star Amelle Berrabah has reportedly got engaged to boyfriend Freddie Fuller, even though her relationship with him is said to be causing tension between her and her bandmates.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the couple have been dating in secret after the Sugababes management team and record company advised Amelle to steer clear of Freddie for the time being: he is currently awaiting trial with two other men over the rape of Amelle’s younger sister Samiya.

But a source close to the couple told the newspaper that she’s gone the other way: “She has agreed to marry him. They were meeting in secret at friends’ houses.”

“Then Freddie arranged a romantic weekend away. After dinner he popped the question.”
