Shanna Moakler “devastated” by second split from Travis Barker

Shanna Moakler has described her second split from husband, Blink 182’s Travis Barker as “very disappointing”.

The pair, who documented their early marriage in MTV show Meet the Barkers, married in 2004 but bitterly separated last year before reconciling in March - and splitting up again earlier this month.

Shanna confirmed the split to People magazine recently, saying: “We separated, and for me it’s very disappointing. I consider him the love of my life.”

“I think the demise of a marriage is like a death, and there is a mourning that goes with it. It’s devastating.”

“I know that I gave it 100 percent, and I really tried.”

The couple have two children together (three year old Landon and 19 month old Alabama) as well as Shanna’s eight year old daughter Atiana from a previous relationship and unlike last year’s bitter war of MySpace entries, the couple plan to stay on good terms this time around: “I think, more than anything, Travis and I have the main goal of trying to be the best parents for our children that we can be. So whatever that entails, we’ll definitely do 100 percent.”
