- Prompting all sorts of rumours, married U2 star Bono was snapped hand-in-hand with Penelope Cruz in St Tropez yesterday. The pair, accompanied by Helena Christensen took a boat trip then headed to Club 55 in the resort. Bono and Penelope are said to have stayed in the VIP room until 4am this morning before leaving together and onlookers described them as looking “very intimate .. very touchy-feely” and that she “gazed at him adoringly” as they climbed into a car together.
- In New York, Jennifer Lopez only locked her mitts with husband Marc Anthony. The pair took to the red carpet for the New York premiere of El Cantante in Times Square on Thursday evening. Jennifer wore a salmon coloured chiffon gown with unfortunate matching lipstick.
- Sienna Miller and big sister Savannah went for better fashion choices for their coffee-run in SoHo, New York earlier in the day yesterday.
- And Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz looked very coordinated in their skinny fit jeans during their lunch at Urth Cafe in West Hollywood.
- The inseparable honeymoon period must be over for Eva Longoria and new husband Tony Parker - a solo Eva was snapped at the nearby Chateau Marmont hotel yesterday having a night out with friends.
- Paris Hilton was snapped heading out in a high-waisted but otherwise very conservative black outfit yesterday.
- While little sister Nicky Hilton was all about the smiles in her fun, summery purple mini-dress.

So U2`s Bono had a choice, spend some time with his own family, or go party in the south of France with the Hollywood jet set. Does Bono spend anytime at home?, or is he just a long distance daddy who phones it in?.

Bono has a home in Eze in the South of France, right next door to a place owned by guitarist The Edge. He is most likely there with his wife and children for the summer. Just because he didn’t parade them in front of the paparazzi doesn’t mean he’s a bad father or that he’s ditched his Mrs to shack-up with Helena Christensen and Penelope Cruz.

When Helena was with them, I thought “oh they’re just all friends” but when they’re alone together, it’s a bit dodgy. If I was Ali, I’d be having words around about now.

just so you know, Ali was there, and so was one of their daughters. So if you ask me, he’s using Helena and Penelope to keep his family out of the pictures.
