Top five stories of the week

  • Lindsay Lohan’s arrest for DUI on Tuesday morning - we were genuinely surprised by this. We didn’t expect her to stay sober for the rest of her life - but this relapse came sooner than we’d expected.
  • Britney’s photoshoot meltdown. Now this wasn’t particularly surprising - after flashing her bits and shaving her head, it takes a lot for Britney’s antics to shock us these days - and that’s pretty sad.
  • Nicole Richie’s four-day jail sentence. Given Californian law on multiple DUI offences, this wasn’t much of a shocker either. It’s also a bit “meh” - “a socialite/The Simple Life star has been sentenced to jail for something drink-driving related? Yeah, been there, done that.” Poor Nicole - always in Paris Hilton’s shadow.
  • Katie Price and Peter Andre name their new baby daughter Princess Tiaamii. Big news for the Katie/Peter fans in the UK in particular - and we were amused by their explanation for the name’s quirks.
  • Kate Moss‘ worry over missing home videos. Sex tape rumours abound but given Pete’s various addictions (and Kate’s former one), perhaps ithey feature something a little less naked and a little more illegal…
