• Paris Hilton has said she’s not particularly upset that her “reality” TV show with friend Nicole Richie, The Simple Life, has been cancelled after five seasons. The show, which cemented the women’s positions on the social and tabloid scenes, was dropped by the E! network on Monday and Paris said this week: “It’s been a great five years and we had so much fun. I’m happy to end it at that.”
  • Jon Voight has said he’s not back in touch with estranged daughter Angelina Jolie yet, even though she’s said she hopes to start communicating with him again soon. He said recently: “There’s been talk about a reunion, but we haven’t been in touch yet. I certainly send her all my love, and I always wish the best for her and the kids. I haven’t seen [my grandchildren] yet.” The pair fell out in 2002 after Jon said in a TV interview that Angelina was suffering from “severe emotional problems”.
