Amy Winehouse has said she’s going to try not to miss any more gigs in the future - because her dad got mad at her for skipping out on shows last month.

Amy has cancelled a number of gigs at the last minute over the last few months - including a Summer Pops concert in Liverpool, Scotland’s T in the Park festival and a show at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire. Her spokesperson has cited “exhaustion” or similar health problems for the cancellations, prompting speculations over her wellbeing - and accusing shots of her drinking in bars on the nights in question.

Amy told the Daily Mail recently that dad Mitch has had words about her attitude: “I still get the odd rollocking from my dad. In fact, he sat me down the other day and gave me a talking to about missing gigs.”

“I got in trouble but I am not gonna do that any more!”

She added that she’s not skipping the shows just to be a diva: “I don’t ever want to miss a gig but sometimes I just don’t feel I’m up to it.”

“I know it’s last minute and it’s really irresponsible but I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I’d rather reschedule a show than do it half-heartedly.”
