Lindsay Lohan’s former bodyguard has claimed that the starlet’s parents are completedly to blame for her current behaviour.

Lindsay is currently in hiding - believed to be at either the family’s home in Long Island or in rehab in Utah - following her second DUI/cocaine possession arrest in less than two months but Tony Almeida, who protected the actress between 2002 and 2005, insists it was inevitable with her upbringing.

He told In Touch recently that: “From a young age, she dealt with her father’s physical, emotional and drug abuses as well as her mother’s drinking.”

Tony recalled an incident shortly after he started work for the family when her now estranged dad Michael Lohan became angry while driving: “[Michael] slammed on the brakes and dragged her out of the car, pushed her up against the hood, screamed at her and called her a slut. This was on the Long Island Expressway! I got in the middle of it and pulled him off.”

And mum Dina Lohan “let her do whatever she wanted, just to keep her happy and working … [At her 16th birthday party in 2002] Lindsay drank whatever she wanted - I saw her drinking beer and mixed drinks with my own eyes.”

Tony also claims the family were happy about Lindsay’s sexual relationship with Aaron Carter even though the pair were only 15 and 14 years old respectively: “They knew Lindsay was sleeping in Aaron’s room. But they seemed happy she had chosen somebody who could benefit her singing career.”

“Lindsay was the family cash cow - and she resented it. They counted on her to pay their bills … I saw Lindsay exhausted, begging her mother for some time off.”
