Kate Hudson has said she isn’t looking forward to entering the dating scene as a single mum.

The actress, mum to three year old son Ryder, separated from husband Chris Robinson a year ago and then dated her You, Me and Dupree co-star Owen Wilson. After finishing with Owen in May, she is now looking to her next relationship - but not finding it.

She told Harper’s Bazaar recently: “Dating becomes very different. You realize after you have had children that you’ll never love anything more than your child.”

“That is your love. That is your life. So it makes the new sort of single-mom dating process very different. It’s like growing up. It’s adult.”

Kate describes her split from Chris as “really, really hard” since he was her “first huge love” and she doesn’t know whether she’ll remarry at some point or whether she’ll prefer a ring-free relationship like her mum Goldie Hawn: “I don’t know [if I’ll marry again]. I checked that off my list of to-dos. And I can check off divorce… The idea of marriage, I realize now, no longer holds the answer to anything.”

But she would like more children: “I’d love to have more kids. Of course. I’ve always wanted to have a lot. My dream is to have four.”
