Melanie Brown has said she is “kind of appalled” by Eddie Murphy’s behaviour over their daughter Angel.

Even though a DNA test in June asserted that Eddie was the father, the Shrek star only acknowledged his paternity of the four month old girl last week after Melanie pledged to chase him for child support.

Appearing on Larry King Live last night, Melanie said: “I think the most important thing to me is that Angel knows her dad. And her dad is Eddie Murphy, and she has every right to know who he is.”

“[But] I think he’s been extremely disrespectful and I don’t think anybody should be allowed to get away with saying what he said whilst I was pregnant…”

“Even when the DNA test results were in there was still nothing further said, which I found baffling. After all this, and still nothing? It’s unacceptable.”

“I was waiting and hoping that he would do what he said he was going to do which was take care of the situation and be responsible.

“At the end of the day the person that I fell in love with was amazing. The person that I know now…I’m kind of appalled.”

But she added that the experience hasn’t put her off having any more children and she & new husband Stephen Belafonte “would like to [have children together], of course.”
