Amy Winehouse refusing to go to rehab

Despite earlier rumours that she had checked into the Priory, Amy Winehouse is reportedly staying at a hotel in Hampshire and is refusing to go into rehab.

According to the Sun, Amy is staying at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hook, Hampshire, in a £3,000 a night suite with her mum Janis after being hospitalised for “severe exhaustion” in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The newspaper also reports that Amy had been smoking heroin in addition to taking other drugs and alcohol before being rushed to hospital and her dad Mitch is asking her record label for around the clock security to prevent her from leaving the hotel to acquire more drugs.

A family source told the newspaper: “Amy has told her mum she is often suicidal and she knows she will die young. Janis and the rest of the family persuaded Amy to go to the hotel to recover after her overdose. They hope that by getting her out of the scene around Camden she will be able to see what she is doing to herself.”

“She has no idea how close she came to dying. She has barely eaten anything and keeps being sick. She is in an incredibly fragile state, both physically and mentally.”

“But Amy is determined that she will NOT go to rehab. It’s what her family desperately want her to do but she won’t listen.”

“The family went along with the record company when they first claimed she was suffering from exhaustion. But Amy is a lot more than exhausted - she needs help and she needs it fast.”

“There is a part to Amy that likes to push things to the edge. Janis is worried she has pushed it too far.”
