Sugababes star Amelle Berrabah has finished with boyfriend Freddie Fuller, just days after bandmate Keisha Buchanan denied reports that Amelle had been forced to choose between him and the band.

Amelle’s older sister Zakiya told the Mirror that Amelle is adamant that she and Freddie are through for good: “Amelle has been going through a really tough time getting death threats and abuse because of her relationship with Freddie. She even had the tyres slashed on her car.”

“She wants to make it clear that their relationship is over. She told me they have split for good and she doesn’t want to be with him anymore.”

“There were stories that Amelle went to a hotel in Surrey to get engaged but she was actually in the room alone suffering depression.”

“She stayed there for a few days and never went out, just ordering room service. She has been struggling and has had to see a psychotherapist to get over her problems. Amelle was really suffering but now she is feeling much better and is working really hard.”

“She has had to catch up on recording sessions she missed but everything is going well. She says her life is back on track and hopes to make a fresh start without Freddie.”

Zakiya added that Amelle already has a number of candidates for her next boyfriend: “There is a Premiership footballer texting her at the moment and a couple of other men from the music industry are very keen.”

“But they’ll have to wait a while because at the moment she is happy being single and concentrating on her work.”
