• Naomi Watts sparked a security alert while shopping for groceries on Monday after more than 30 photographers followed her into the Brentwood Whole Foods store. An employee reports: “The paparazzi just came from everywhere. It becomes a safety issue for customers, especially in the car park, which is busy enough without all those guys with cameras.” The police were called and ordered the paparazzi out of the shop and off its parking lot and the new mum had to wait inside until a friend brought her car around to the door.
  • Jodie Foster has revealed she’s unlikely to be joining the waves of stars spotted on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles because all those expensive boutiques scare her. She’s revealed she’s never been a big fan of shopping but recently: “my shopping dread has gotten worse and now it’s a phobia,” she says. “I’ll walk into a store, feel my face twitch, and go back to the car.”
