• George Michael has started his 100 hours of community service at a London hostel, following his conviction for driving while unfit in June. George was seen helping out in the garden of a homeless shelter in the city on Monday, even though his solicitor had tried to push for work further out of the public eye and more suited to George’s musical talents. George previously completed 80 hours of community service following his arrest for exposing himself to a police officer in a public toilet in 1998.
  • Jodie Foster has said she has no plans to go under the cosmetic surgery knife as she ages. The actress, who turns 45 in November, told More magazine recently: “It’s not my thing. I don’t have anything against it for other people. Whatever they want to do, I’m fine with it. For me, it’s really a self-image thing. Like, I’d rather have somebody go, ‘Wow, that girl has a bad nose’ than ‘Wow, that girl has a bad nose job.’ I’d rather have a comment about who I am than about something that identifies me as being ashamed of who I am.”
