Britney Spears: is she or isn’t she seeing Criss Angel?

Britney Spears has sparked rumours she’s dating illusionist Criss Angel - but other sources believe it’s a professional rather than romantic relationship.

The pair were first spotted together on Wednesday night at Cravings Restaurant in West Hollywood, where Britney was said to have “seemed entranced by Criss” before leaving together in his Rolls Royce Phantom.

The couple are said to have driven around for a while drinking champagne, and according to the Sun, Britney asked a bodyguard to duck into a convenience store to pick up some condoms. They then returned to the Tower Beverly Hills hotel in the early hours of yesterday morning and witnesses report the pair held hands as they made their way to the 11th floor suite then enjoyed a bottle of Dom Perignon on the balcony.

However, a source at the restaurant insists the after-dinner events are just rumours: “He’s helping Britney for a special performance at the [MTV] VMAs. They were discussing the VMAs in the restaurant.”

Britney is expected to make her first large scale comeback appearance at the award show next month.
