• Jessica Simpson may be about to follow her sister Ashlee Simpson in getting a nose job after all. Jessica, currently filming Major Movie Star, broke her beak on set this week: “I was running with a gun over my head and fell over and broke my nose, it really hurt!” She recently said she “loves the bump” in her nose and won’t have it adjusted because thinks it’s “special and unique” compared to most Hollywood snouts.
  • The Manic Street Preachers’ Nicky Wire was not set on making friends while performing at the V Festival this weekend. He’s described Snow Patrol as “utterly deplorable”, making “desperate music”: “there is something irredeemably s**t about them, you can’t quite put your finger on what it is.” And he believes the Killers’ second album is “truly dreadful… extremely false and calculated. People might like it, but people with brains don’t.”
