Pete Doherty arrested … again … for drugs possession

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before but… Pete Doherty has been arrested on suspicion of drug possession in the early hours of this morning.

Just hours after finishing his second set of the weekend at the dual-site V Festival, Pete was arrested in the Tower Hamlets area of east London after the car he was travelling in was stopped by police.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson has confirmed the incident and that Pete was held at Bethnal Green Police Station in east London for three hours for questioning. Model Irina Lazareanu and Pete’s manager Andrew Boyd were also arrested.

Pete is facing jail related to an earlier arrest for possession - he was ordered to have an implant inserted into his stomach to help him beat his heroin addiction and District Judge Davinder Lachlar of West London Magistrates’ Court is expected to make a decision early next month over whether Pete has shown enough motivation in getting off drugs.

In related news, Pete and his Babyshambles bandmates stopped to help a man trapped in his car following a crash on a motorway.

The band were travelling to the Stafford leg of the V Festival after their gig in Chelmsford on Saturday night, when they saw the car crash into a concrete reservation.

A band source told the Sun: “They saw the overturned car billowing with smoke in the middle of the carriageway. They stopped and pulled a guy in his 50s from the vehicle. He had hit a concrete block on the side of the road and the car flipped over.”

“The man was insisting that he had only had a few fruit juices, but they thought he was protesting a bit too much.”

The driver was treated by paramedics for minor injuries and the band went on their way.

well no news there then the only thing that comes to mind is that will money talk again and he gets off scott free again, or will he do some time at last like anyone else would of done on there third or fourth affence not like him get away with it all the time his no diffrent than any other smackhead jail him then he might not do it again. But then again theres more drugs inside than out so whats the diffrence.the worlds an a*s.

Drugs addicts aren’t criminals, jackass, they’re sick. Addicts don’t recover in jail.

Isn’t that a bit like “Dog bites man”. Not really news is it?

I could understand the media interest in him when he was going out with Kate Moss, but she’s done herself (and her daughter) a favor and moved on. So … why are you still reporting on this weak minded, self indulgent, junked-up, loser. Perhaps you should follow Kate’s example and let him crash-and-burn in peace.
