Pete Doherty

  • Pete Doherty will not be charged with breaching his bail conditions following his arrest in the early hours of Monday morning. Pete is on bail following a drugs possession arrest in May but he will not be charged for the breach after police failed to deliver him to the relevant court within 24 hours of the arrest. Prosecutor Anjulika Vatish told West London Magistrates Court this morning: “The court has no jurisdiction to deal with this matter any more.” Pete still potentially faces jail related to the May arrest and is due in court over it next month.
  • Peaches Geldof’s DJing set at the V Festival didn’t go down particularly well according to one onlooker. The gig attendee told the Mirror that the London socialite demanded to be switched from an opening slot to a more prestigious one later in the day but then “she managed to clear the dance floor before throwing a strop and leaving in a sulk. “We’re starting a don’t book Peaches campaign, she’s a total b****. You’d be better off listening to your MP3 player.”
