A source has confirmed that Geri Halliwell is dating Russian heir Evgeny Lebedev.

The couple were first spotted together at a party at the Serpentine Gallery in London last month and a source close to the Spice Girl has now confirmed the relationship to the Daily Mail.

The source told the newspaper: “Geri is in the early stages of her relationship with Evgeny, but they are very happy together.”

“She is having a lot of fun with him and he is a breath of fresh air after all of her disastrous dates in the past.”

“He is only 26 [to her 35], which is perfect for her because she likes the younger man.”

“He is talking about visiting her when she goes to Los Angeles to rehearse for the Spice Girls reunion - but nothing is definitely in place yet because they are taking it slowly and not making any firm commitments.”

“Geri is in a good place at the moment, she’s getting herself fit and ready for the Spice Girls tour and her new love is the icing on the cake for her.”

“Her priority is always with her daughter, Bluebell, but she is aware that she has got to have some fun too.”

Evgeny, the son of a Russian oligarch, was deemed one of the world’s most eligible bachelors by Tatler magazine earlier this year.
