Kate Moss and Pete Doherty are reportedly staying together at Claridge’s hotel in London, just six weeks after supposedly splitting up for good.

Pete was spotted at Claridge’s on Saturday with ex-girlfriend Irina Lazareanu but sources now claim that was just a front to distract from Kate’s presence.

A source at the hotel told the Daily Mail that Kate and Pete have been staying in a £1,500 a night suite since Friday and Pete returned there after being freed by police yesterday, following his arrest in the early hours of Monday morning. The couple have been joined at the hotel by friends, including Irina who modelled for Kate’s Topshop line, and hotel security were forced to step in and break up a party one night after it became too loud.

A friend of Kate’s added that her family are disappointed with this turn of events: “Linda, Kate’s mum, thought the time away from him would break the spell he has over her. She had been on a strict break. They had not even exchanged a word in weeks.”

“She has been completely ignoring him. But what is worrying the family most is that Kate feels that the break from Pete has only made her love stronger. Linda is absolutely devastated.”

“During her holiday in Spain, Pete was calling her on the mobile incessantly. He could not get through and the line kept going dead. She eventually called him one evening and since that conversation they have been continually on the phone. Kate has been like a moth to the flame.”

“When she got back to Britain, they met up at the hotel. He cried and she cried. She said to him she had been avoiding him because she had promised everyone from her managers to her mother that she would. She told him, ‘It’s not me. It’s just what they all made me do’.”

“Linda thought that once Pete spoke to the papers about their relationship, there was no way back. But Pete has been telling Kate he was tricked by the paper and did not know what he was doing. Kate is clearly smitten - she can’t get the guy out of her system.”

“Now she is talking about making a grand commitment to him - she wants the wedding over here that was put on hold, and she also wants his children.”
