Lindsay Lohan is unlikely to be charged with felony charges related to her two arrests earlier this year.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney could push for her to face three felony charges related to the possession of cocaine on both occasions and transporting a narcotic into a correctional facility when she was arrested in July - which could result in up to two years in jail.

However an inside source has told TMZ that the DA is unlikely to file those charges, meaning she will just face two misdemeanor level charges for the DUIs in May and July. If the felony charges are dropped, Lindsay will not have to appear in court at the hearings on Friday and if found guilty of the DUIs, her jail time is likely to be reduced to just a few days.

The source added that the decision Lindsay’s lawyer Blair Berk is expected to agree a plea bargain with prosecutors, taking into account Lindsay’s decisions to immediately commit to rehab after both incidents.

Lindsay is currently staying at the Cirque Lodge facility in Utah and spoke to OK magazine about her commitment to the treatment programme.

OK’s editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens attended the interview and photo shoot, and reports: “She really is taking it seriously. She’s replacing L.A. and smoking with yoga and reading. She hasn’t looked this good in years.”

“She’s been really worried about the influence she’s having on her little sister Ali.”

“That’s why this time she’s determined to sort herself out, because she doesn’t want her Ali to grow up and suffer the same things she’s suffered.”
