• Nicole Kidman has described acting to boxing in that both are hard to leave inside the ring. She’s quoted in the Daily Express as saying: “You put a boxer in a ring and you say ‘I want you to almost kill someone and then I want you to step out of the ring and not use your fists’. [Then] you put an actor in a movie and ask them to be really raw and available and then you’ve got to go back into life and be really disciplined and adult. You’re constantly trying to balance it.”
  • Beth Ditto has said she thinks the Muppets’ Miss Piggy is a fashion iconic. The Gossip lead singer, who is set to appear at the Leeds and Reading Festivals this weekend, told Advocate magazine recently: “Miss Piggy is extremely iconic. There’s no one higher than Miss Piggy. It’s funny, but it’s true - she definitely was a huge influence on me as a teenager. Oh, and Patty Duke!”
