• While Nicole Richie was preparing to serve her 82 minutes in jail, fellow former jail-bird Paris Hilton went shopping for baby gifts for the five-month pregnant socialite. A source at Hollywood boutique Intuition told People magazine: “[Paris] was in the best mood. She couldn’t wait to get to the baby department and look for things for Nicole’s baby. She said she was very happy for her .. [and] can’t wait to hang out with the baby.” Paris picked gifts in both pink and blue, including clothes, a blanket and ‘Baby’s First Fashion Words’ book.
  • Scarlett Johansson has said she’s considering going on a morale-boosting trip to Iraq. She told the USA Today recently: “I get letters from soldiers my age and younger. I wanted to go to Iraq in October, but it may be a little later now.” But even though she is supposed to be working on an album, she doesn’t know if she’s ready to show off her musical stylings just yet: “I don’t know if I will sing for them. I’ll probably just take to the stage and ooze sex appeal and hang around.”
