Pete Doherty has reportedly checked back into rehab after his family urged him to change his ways.

After his arrest for drugs posession at the weekend and allegedly assaulting a photographer on Wednesday, Pete’s family, led by his aunt Joan Cassidy, gathered yesterday to tell him a stint in rehab would be for the best.

According to the Sun, Pete then packed his bags and checked into the Clouds House facility in Wiltshire. He will stay at the facility for 12 days until his next court appearance related to his May arrest.

Joan told the newspaper: “The family is trying to do what is best for Pete.”

And family friend Barry Parsons, who Pete was ordered to stay with in Somerset following the weekend’s arrest, added that while Pete has gone through a number of rehab programmes over the last three years, “he really means it this time.”
