• Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky has said she’d love to play Tracy Turnblad on Broadway after starring as the dance-fan in the film version of the musical. She said recently: “It’s something that I think about every single day especially coming to the openings of Grease, and I went to the opening of Spring Awakening. I definitely go into live theatre; it perks me up, and makes me want to do it.”
