Geri Halliwell’s new man Evgeny Lebedev has reportedly bought the Spice Girl a pair of £20,000 diamond earrings to show his affection.

A friend of Geri’s told the Daily Mail: “Evgeny wanted to do something special for Geri and thought a pair of earrings would do the trick.”

“He is a very classy guy so he didn’t want to get her something too in-your-face, or a big rock that might have scared her off.”

“Geri was overwhelmed when he gave them to her, she felt so touched and loves showing them off to her friends now. But she makes sure to save the jewellery for special occasions, and when she isn’t wearing them she loves to take sneaky glances at them in her jewellery box to remind her of Evgeny.”

“Geri doesn’t have much luck in love, so this present has really touched her. She is usually getting messed around by men, so this is a refreshing change for her.”

“It’s just another sign the couple are growing even closer.”
