Amy Winehouse: I won’t go into rehab without husband Blake

Amy Winehouse insists she won’t check into rehab for a third time because she doesn’t want to do it without her husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

Amy and Blake checked in and out, then in and out, of the Causeway rehab facility in Essex earlier in the month following Amy’s drug-related collapse but she’s now told the Sunday Mirror: “I can’t beat the drugs without him. He’s my rock and as a married couple we need to go through everything together.”

“Blake says he isn’t going back to rehab - but I can if I want. But I’m not going without him.”

The singer, who has admitted taking heroin and cocaine, went on: “I know I need help, but Blake’s the only one who can help me. I don’t want to lose him. I won’t lose him. I want to make him happy - like what he does to me.”

“I feel disgusting and Blake’s the only one who stops me feeling like this.”

Despite a string of awards - including four nominations at next month’s MOBO Awwards - and commercial success on both sides of the Atlantic, Amy added: “Look at me, I’m a mess. I’m nothing special. In fact I’m nothing at all. I don’t feel good. I’m not talented. I don’t feel very amazing. I’m useless and just keep messing up. I’m lucky I’ve got a caring husband - I don’t deserve him.”

“I can’t believe he even wants to be with me. I don’t understand why. All I know is I’m the luckiest girl alive to have someone as caring as Blake.”

The couple, who married in May, had a fight in the early hours of Thursday morning which left them both bloodied and covered in scratches. A source close to Amy’s family told the Sun: “After [hearing about] the fight, her family thought they had finally got through to her. But then she said she couldn’t go to rehab because Blake said he’d kill himself if he was left alone.”

Amy insists despite the blood Blake didn’t hurt her: “I was cutting myself after he found me in our room about to do drugs with a call girl and rightly said I wasn’t good enough for him. I lost it and he saved my life.”
