Owen Wilson was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles yesterday after an apparent suicide attempt.

Sources claim the Wedding Crashers star cut at his wrists and took a number of pills.

National Enquirer editor-in-chief David Perel has claimed Owen was found by his brother Andrew around noon yesterday: “Andrew found him after the suicide attempt and called an ambulance. Both of Owen’s wrists were slashed superficially and Owen had taken an overdose of pills.”

“Owen was found with a nearly empty bottle of pills next to him. He was at his house in Santa Monica.”

Santa Monica Police have confirmed that they attended the scene along and “the person” was taken to a local hospital, believed to be St John’s.

Owen was stablised and transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last night. Andrew and younger brother Luke were with him for the transfer and their parents visited in the evening.

Owen is now said to be a stable condition. His spokesperson has yet to comment on the reports.
