Kylie MinogueKylie Minogue is reportedly set to undergo surgery to help her conceive a child.

Kylie previously revealed she underwent two rounds of IVF treatment with then-boyfriend Olivier Martinez before being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 - and then had slivers of her ovaries removed to increase the chances of being able to have a child after her chemotherapy treatment.

A source close to the singer has said that Kylie is talking to doctors about having the re-insertion operation “in the near future”, with the hope that the slivers will release eggs.

The source told the Sun: “She knows that time isn’t standing still and wants to start a family sooner rather than later.”

“She’s been taking advice on whether she’s physically fit enough now, and whether medical science is advanced enough, for her to consider going ahead with the operation.”

Kylie and Olivier are thought to be attempting to reconcile their relationship after splitting earlier in the year, and Kylie hopes to seal their reunion with a child: “Kylie has been talking to Olivier lately and has raised the subject of getting back together. They haven’t come to an agreement yet but Kylie is willing to go it alone and be a single mum if that’s what it takes.”

“She adores children and has always wanted her own family. Her 40th birthday next year and the birth of her first nephew last year have brought that home to her more than ever.”
