Following their private civil wedding at the start of last month, Usher and Tameka Foster have celebrated their union a second time with a blessing in front of 200 guests yesterday.

The couple were originally scheduled to marry in a lavish event at LA Reid’s home in the Hamptons at the end of July but the event was postponed at the last minute. After days of cancellation and split rumours, the couple then married at Usher’s lawyer’s office in Atlanta the following week.

Yesterday’s ceremony was held at the Chateau Elan Winery & Resort just outside Atlanta, and guests included high profile behind-the-scenes people from the music and entertainment worlds - but not Usher’s estranged mum Jonetta Patton.

After the couple exchanged their vows, guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner and five-tier white chocolate wedding cake, covered with handmade chocolate flowers.

A source told People magazine: “They are in love and they wanted this to be perfect. They had their reasons for not getting married [before], and that’s their own business. Now they could get things done the way they wanted to, their family and friends can be here now.”

The couple are expecting their first child together this autumn and this week Usher revealed while they don’t know the baby’s sex yet, he’d like it to be a boy.

He told the Ellen DeGeneres Show that he’d like to pass his name onto his son: “I’m hoping to name him that. I’ve been playing with a few names. I’m the fourth. Usher Raymond IV. I just want to pass the name on. Maybe I’ll change the middle name.”
