At a press event, Wes explained: “I just want you to know how excited I am to have the film showing here. It means a great deal to me, and it also means a great deal to Owen, who wants me to express to you how much it means to him and to say that he wishes he could be with us.”
“We all miss having him here very much. Obviously he’s been through a lot this week but he’s doing well and he’s been making us laugh a lot.”
“I can tell you he has been doing very well, he has been making us laugh.”
“When he’s ready he’s going to speak for himself much better than any of us could. He has got a very good way with words.”
Owen and Wes were jointly nominated for a Best Original Screenplay Oscar in 2002 for their film The Royal Tenenbaums. The new film sees Owen, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman, play three estranged brothers travelling across India together following their father’s death.
