While some WAGs seem to live a life of non-stop partying and shopping, Cheryl Cole has said it’s not really like that for her and husband Ashley Cole.

The Girls Aloud star explained to the Sun recently: “Footballers’ lives aren’t always that glamorous. They can’t go out and party, and once they’ve been to training they have the afternoons off. So that’s why Ashley is always playing those bloody computer games.”

“I much prefer him to be sitting at the computer rather than out gambling or drinking.”

“And I’d rather sit in bed with a DVD and a takeaway than go out. That’s what me and Ashley do most of the time.”

“I feel like I’ve become a bit boring sometimes. I’m a bit weary of going out these days. When I do go out with Ashley, girls throw themselves at him but I just find it funny. I trust him 100 per cent so I’m not worried about it. Maybe if I was insecure I would, but I’m not.”

“These girls are sad anyway. I couldn’t be one of those footballers’ wives who just accept them sleeping around because they live in a nice house and have designer handbags.”

She added that it is often quite difficult to juggle her Girls Aloud commitments and Ashley’s footballing career: “We were in a position where Ashley could have gone to play in Spain but it would have meant me having to leave the band. So we decided as a married couple not to go to Spain, for my benefit.”

“I sometimes feel a bit guilty for that but I didn’t work hard all these years just to pack it all in because of the man I married. Every decision I make I’ve got four other people’s lives to consider.”
