Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s adoption of their son David has been disrupted yet again after Malawian social worker Penstone Kilembe has been removed from the case a second time.

Kilembe set to travel to London on Monday to carry out a home-study visit at the couple’s family home but government officials have suspended him after further accusations that he solicited money from the stars to fund the trip.

A second senior social worker has been drafted in to take over the case but this week’s home study has been delayed by the change.

In a related issue, a spokesperson for the country’s child welfare ministry has confirmed that the singer is paying university fees for members of staff: “Madonna is paying for everything and we are extremely grateful.”

“She asked us whether we had any problems and we told her the ministry lacked trained personnel. We told her about [one employee], and she immediately responded.”

Madonna indicated a willingness to sponsor more officers. We just have to inform her of our need.”
