Amy Winehouse

  • Amy Winehouse received a standing ovation after singing her ‘Love is a Losing Game’ at the Mercury Music Awards ceremony last night. Amy was reportedly nervous before stepping onto the stage and organisers had to forcibly separate her from husband Blake Fielder-Civil when the moment came. After the performance - her first in public since her overdose last month, Blake then escorted Amy back to their table where Amy’s dad Mitch was waiting. Amy told reporters she had a “great night” even though the evening’s top award went to the Klaxons instead of her.
  • Pete Doherty’s latest court hearing has been postponed until next month after Pete checked into rehab last month. The Babyshambles star was expected to attend West London Magistrates Court yesterday for the next hearing regarding his May drug possession arrest but his lawyer Sean Curran explained that Pete was in a residential rehab programme that couldn’t be disrupted. Curran added that it was Pete’s idea to go for treatment: “He’s still there. It’s very encouraging.” Pete potentially faces jail or a community supervision order over the charges.
