Britney Spears child abuse investigation dropped
Britney Spears‘ lawyer Laura Wasser has said that Department of Child & Family Services investigation of the singer has been dropped.
The DCFS launched the case after tip-offs suggesting child abuse but Wasser said on Tuesday: “It does not appear the county will pursue any action at this time.”
She added that she didn’t know who made the allegations “but I am trying to find out.”
Legal teams for Britney and her ex-husband Kevin Federline then met behind closed doors to discuss the next stage of the couple’s custody case.
In related news, Britney’s bodyguard Cesar Julio Camera has been charged with one count of battery following an incident at a Las Vegas hotel in July. Photographer Andrew Deetz claims Camera hit him to knock him out of the way as Britney was leaving the Wynn Hotel on 26th July.
Camera is due to appear in court next month and could face up to 6 months in jail or a $1,000 fine.
