More details are starting to emerge regarding Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams split.
News broke at the weekend that the couple had gone their separate ways but a source close to Heath has told Us Weekly that there had been trouble in the relationship for a long time.

The source revealed: “They have been broken up, on and off, since [daughter] Matilda was born [two years ago], and tried in many ways to make it work for her sake.”

The source added that it had been “off” more than “on” recently and after a rumoured fight earlier in the year, the two spent “a few months apart and barely spoke”.

“You’ll see them together again. It won’t mean they’re back on, but they’ll be spending time with Matilda.”

“Matilda will remain their first priority.”

As news of the split broke, Michelle was spotted out at a New York bar, Union Hall, with friends on Sunday. An onlooker told the New York Post that Michelle was wearing super high heels and a snug dress: “She looked gorgeous with her sleek bob and seemed happy. She was definitely showing it off.”
