Amy Winehouse’s father is reportedly seeking legal advice to stop Amy handing over her money to husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

A source close to the family told the Daily Mail that while Amy is the main money earner - with sales of her albums soaring in the wake of her drug troublems, Blake controls their finances: “Amy just hands everything over to him.

“And even worse Blake has been going around telling his mates that he’s soon to take over managing her.”

Amy’s dad Mitch is now said to be in talks with lawyers and Amy’s record label to reduce Blake’s access to the cash. Mitch is said to have told the source: “It makes me sick, he’s the reason she’ll die. I’m not going to see him get everything that she worked so hard for.”

Amy is currently said to be worth around £5million but is expected to at least double that figure over the next 18 months as royalties from her hit ‘Back to Black’ album filter through. Amy and Blake married in May, without a pre-nuptial agreement.
