Jon Bon Jovi disses Robbie Williams, Pete Doherty and Oasis
Jon Bon Jovi reportedly doesn’t think much to various British musicians.
Speaking to Glamour magazine, Jon was a little confused to be asked his opinion of Robbie Williams because he doesn’t rate the former Take That star at all: “That guy? He couldn’t fill a bar. He couldn’t even sell 500 tickets.”
And as for Oasis: “They couldn’t fill a bar, either - and they’re full of themselves.”
He added that he only knew of Pete Doherty for his personal life and not his musical career: “We’re not familiar with anything other than his antics and the fact he’s always in trouble - I’ve never heard a single one of his songs.”

Hilarious that Bon Jovi is slagging Oasis when his song “Captain Crash” is a complete rip-off of Oasis’ “Stay Young.”

Y’know it’s no wonder JBJ gets riled with the UK press when they misquote him, or rather just quote parts of an interview completely out of context!
In the context of the interview JBJ was pointing out that Robbie and Oasis are not very popular in the USA.
As far as the other guy is concerned - Pete who?? He’s right on the money!

Ha! Robbie, Oasis or Pete will never have the success Jon, Richie and the boys have… 130 Million Albums Sold!!! And might I add, their new album topped charts the world over and if i remember right (which I do) their tour was in the top 3 last year…killed Robbie, oasis and Pete!!!
JBJ is a Rock God

I was really diappointed in Jon for his comments. Having grown up in the 80’s when Bon Jovi was rising in fame, I could honestly say I’m not as impressed with their cureent or past few cds. Sure I like a few songs here and there but the old glory is not there. That is a product of having to change to appeal to your audenience.
As far as his attitude towards Robbie he is dead wrong. I’m a Pennsylvania girl who completely fell for Robbie. And although he’ll never reach Bon Jovi status here in the US thats our loss because he is an incredible singer and performer.

Read all the Glamour enterview, not a word of this commentaries. But, JBJ have fans all over the world Phillip, i’m from Latin America and i could tell u, England sold in 30 minutes all the stadium when he was playing in the opening. Hi has actually a great song in the first places of Billboard, just read it. I really don’t know if he said all that, that is so not Jon Bon Jovi

The MAJOR problem is the idotic media like the UK Sun, Contactmusic, etc. simply posted the quotes without the context of the questions. If you read the entire q&a that is posted in this month’s UK Glamour his responses are just honest answers. But, of course, it’s more controversial to just post the quotes and make Jon look like an a$$hole.

robbie williams holds the guinness book
world record for the most tickets ‘ever sold’
in one day by ‘any’ band or ‘ANY’ entertainer
ever in history!!! 1.6 million to be exact!!
And this was for his world tour last year that
sold out every stadium…not arenas!!
Get your facts straight JBJ before you open
your big mouth!! I never would have believed
that c**p could spew out of your mouth!!!!
I used to lov ‘bon jovi’ but I cant stand ill-
informed idiots!!

Jon Bon Jovi, What a joke. He is not even in the same class of talent as Oasis - I too went to the Oasis concerts and they were great and sold out I might add - They have yet to have a bad song. Some people just know talent when they hear it!

I don’t give a c**p for all 3 of these wank offs… but face it…Pete & Robbie will never sell as many albums as Bon Jovi, ever. Whether
it was an 80’s thing or not, fact is Jon Bon is
universal, recognizable worldwide to any age group. You show a picture of Pete to anyone on
the street and maybe, just maybe 5 out of 100 people will know who the hell he is.
Nuff said.

WTF?!! common u people, Bon Jovi has sold more then 120 000 000 in 25 years of their career(that’s right it’s them, not him!!!)plus they have won everything. don’t know if fans of Oasis and Robbie knows that Jon has won even Golden Globe and was nominated for Oscar! That’s right, he’s not just an owner of the best band EVER, he’s one hell of actor.
now, i don’t know did he said all of that, but I’m sure that he didn’t mean to pull them down so badly, I mean Jon’s really OK guy, actually more then OK, he’s the most coolest guy i know. And if he even said that, he didn’t said in that contest, have to read the whole interview to figure it out what he exectly said. i don’t think that we can compare Bon Jovi and Robbie cause Robbie is solo singer and Bon Jovi is the band, but between Bon Jovi and Oasis, Bon Jovi is SOOO MUCH BETTER!
p.s.Christina, Bon Jovi isn’t comming to Croatia, at least not yet!
