Nicola RobertsGirls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has revealed the band are hoping to get tickets for the Spice Girls reunion tour.

She told the Sun recently: “We’ve all registered for tickets. We were the Spice Girls generation and I can’t believe that I’m now in the same industry as them.”

“I loved them so much when I was younger that I used to go to Spice Girl parties - my nan used to make my costumes.”

“Geri Halliwell was my favourite because she had red hair like me.”

She added that she hopes Girls Aloud fans can look up to her as she looked up to Geri: “Maybe young girls will look at a bad picture of me sometimes in a magazine and feel they can relate to me. I’m normal, I’m just like everyone else.”

Last month, Nicola’s bandmate Cheryl Cole said Girls Aloud won’t follow in the Spice Girls footsteps and make a comeback years after they split up, because it wouldn’t be right when they’re “old and wrinkly“.
