Hayden Panettiere has said that unlike many of her Hollywood contemporaries, she doesn’t want to be known for her wild social life or for flashing her pink bits.

The Heroes star, who turned 18 last month, has been spotted going into clubs around Los Angeles for a couple of years but insists she’s not wrapped up in the party scene.

She said recently: “I’m not surrounded by the kind of people [other celebrities] are surrounded by. It’s so controllable. When you’re putting nasty white powder up your nose that’s you putting it up there, no one else is doing it.”

“[I’m not] really into the big party lifestyle. I like hot-tubbing. I don’t want to be known as a party animal. I don’t want to be seen to be dressing trashy. I don’t think I’d go to a premiere with a tight, tiny, miniskirt and bikini top.”

“I always wear my undershorts when I do stunts in my cheerleader outfit, and I’d never go nude or shave my head - unless it’s for an Oscar!”

She added that her parents keep her grounded even though she’s been acting and modelling since she was 11 months old: “I was raised completely as a normal kid. I take out the trash, I walk the dogs, I vacuum. I’m not allowed to leave the house unless I make the bed.”
